OAK BAY in the 1920s

. Victoria Cougars (1924-1925) .
In 1925, the Victoria Cougars (Western Canada Hockey League) played the Montreal Canadiens (NHL)
in Oak Bay to win the Stanley Cup. The WCHL folded in 1926 and the Cougars' franchise was sold to Detroit
to become the Detroit Cougars. In 1932, the Detroit Cougars became the Detroit Red Wings.
